MODERNIZING WORKSPACE WITHIN AN ACTIVE FEDERAL FACILITY

Project Overview:
Endeavor North Design is working with the U.S. General Services Administration on the renovation of office space for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) within the William L. Guy Federal Building in Bismarck.

The project focuses on updating an existing federal workplace to better support the way the NRCS team works today, while carefully integrating new improvements within an established and continuously operating building.

Working Within the Existing Building:
Renovating space inside an active federal facility requires a thoughtful approach to existing conditions, building systems, security, phasing, and coordination with neighboring occupants. The design builds on what is already there where practical while strategically updating the space to improve function, efficiency, and the overall workplace environment.

 

A More Effective Workplace:
The renovation is organized around creating a functional and professional office environment that supports both focused work and collaboration. Updated offices, work areas, meeting spaces, and support functions are planned to improve day-to-day operations while making better use of the available footprint.

Coordination + Execution:
Federal renovation projects require close coordination between the user group, GSA, consultants, and the existing building infrastructure. Endeavor North’s role is focused on translating those needs into a clear, coordinated design that can be constructed efficiently while maintaining the performance and standards expected within a federal facility.

Project Impact:
The NRCS renovation represents a targeted reinvestment in an existing downtown Bismarck federal building—extending the usefulness of the space while creating a more modern, efficient workplace for the people who use it every day.
